Event Planner


The Stewardship Events Manager is a key member of the new national stewardship team at The Trust for Public Land responsible for thanking and recognizing our donors for the impact their philanthropy has made by creating specialized engagement events designed to facilitate meaningful, lifelong relationships with the organization.


  • 3-5 years of direct event planning and event management experience
  • Demonstrated experience building vendor relationships
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple stakeholders with positive results
  • Experience preparing budgets
  • Knowledge of events environment in major cities in the West
  • Skilled in database use, report building experience a plus
  • Outstanding planning skills

Also required:

  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed
  • Interest and commitment to The Trust for Public Land’s mission

Highly Desirable:

  • Equally high level of creativity and organizational skill
  • An affinity for detail and enjoyment in execution
  • Demonstrated history of creating special experiences for the enjoyment of others
  • Experience with nonprofit organizations
  • Experience with the hospitality industry
