Director of Healthy Living at the Stonestown YMCA


The YMCA Stonestown branch has existed for 63 years. To respond to the needs of the community, the branch recently went through a $4M renovation, completed in October 2016. The branch is currently hiring a Director of Healthy Living.

Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Associate Executive Director, the Director of Healthy Living is responsible for managing the Stonestown Family YMCA wellness, personal training and Adult Sports programs, its budget and staff (excepting Group Exercise classes and programs) and managers on duty. This includes managing, training, maintaining, developing, and evaluating wellness programs and Wellness Coach and Personal Training staff and volunteers. The Director of Healthy Living regularly evaluates programs and membership satisfaction; implements program changes / additions in response to feedback and the shifting needs of the community.


• Minimum 21 years old
• High school graduate or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in exercise science, kinesiology or related field.
• Must be available Monday through Friday business hours; may be required to provide coverage on shifts or programs, including nights, weekends and special events.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a personal trainer or wellness coach or related field required.
• Minimum two years previous supervisory experience required.
