The Community Library Specialist (CLS) for the F.L.A.G.ship program has wide ranging and interesting responsibilities.  The CLS is responsible for promoting the F.L.A.G.ship program and providing classes and activities that promote early literacy to young children and their families and caregivers living in remote and underserved areas of Marin County.  The CLS develops and delivers age appropriate, culturally competent, bilingual (Spanish/English) curricula and activities to children age 0 – 5 years; tracks daily attendance and book distribution; drives the 28 foot long F.L.A.G.ship vehicle; and performs basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning, refueling and bringing the bus to the garage for repairs while tracking maintenance and problems in the bus log.
