Habitat For Humanity Greater San Francisco is seeking a Donation Assistant for it ReStore retail store in San Carlos.

The Driver Assistant is responsible for helping the Driver screen and pick up donations in San Francisco, Marin and San Mateo Counties. The Driver Assistant will work with the Donation Driver to ensure that all donations are received in a timely, organized, and safe manner. It is the Driver’s Assistant responsibility to help coordinate and communicate effectively with the Donation Coordinator, warehouse employees and volunteers regarding the nature of the donations and the related off-loading and handling requirements.

The Driver Assistant is perhaps one of the most visible and personable components of the ReStore. From assisting the driver with navigating the streets with the HFHGSF logo/branded truck to shaking hands with people in their homes, the Donation Pick-Up process allows many great opportunities to generate positive public relations for HFHGSF.

Job Description:

Drive Food Bank trucks to make prompt deliveries and pick-ups of donations and complete the related paperwork in a timely fashion. Perform daily warehouse duties as assigned.


  • Possession of a clean California Class “B” driver’s license with air brake endorsement.
  • One year driving experience in the San Francisco area preferred
  • Two years previous warehouse experience
